Meet Dr. Robert Lopez
Since 1988, Dr. Lopez has been dedicated to private practice optometry, delivering the very best in care and services to his patients, whether they require medical treatment, corrective eye surgery, or simply eyeglasses and contact lenses. As Director of Optometric Services at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Dr. Lopez provides highly experienced consultations for all of the latest refractive surgical procedures available.
Dr. Lopez specializes in complex contact lens fittings for patients with compromised corneas due to disease or prior surgeries. He has developed a proprietary lens design, the Lopez Post-INTAC Design (L.P.I.D.), for patients with Keratoconus. This unique design allows these patients to achieve excellent visual acuity despite having very distorted and irregular corneas.
